The Julie Ruin was founded by Kathleen Hannah (Bikini Kill, Le Tigre, The Punk Singer) in 2010 and features Kathi Wilcox (Bikini Kill) Carmine Covelli, Sara Landeau, and Kenny Mellman (Kiki and Herb). Their first full album, 2013's Run Fast, was self-released. Their new album Hit Reset is out July 8th, 2016 on Harldy Art.

Practically every moment of Hit Reset feels as important as it is brilliant.

A record that’s as fun as it is furious, and as confrontational as it is cool. Musically it comes over like a lo-fi take on the 1960s girl group sound, as trashy as a John Waters movie, like The Cramps smothered in candyfloss.
