Erykah Badu is back on Black Friday with her new mixtape But You Caint Use My Phone. The project, inspired by a line from her 1997 hit “Tyrone,” marks her first full body of work since 2010’s New Amerykah Part Two (Return of the Ankh).

In addition to “Phone Down” and her remix to Drake’s “Hotline Bling” (renamed “Cell U Lar Device”), she is joined by Drake himself on two tracks, “U Use to Call Me” and “Whats Yo Phone Number,” along with André 3000 (“Hello”).

In collaboration with producer Zach Witness, the 11 tracks were written, recorded, and mixed out of Badu’s bedroom studio in Dallas over the course of 12 days. Each song makes reference to telephones and our reliance on staying connected.
